邹宜桐同学作为获奖学子代表,在今年剑桥卓越学子大奖颁奖典礼分享了自己在学习艺术与设计课程时的一些心得和体会。她在2024年6月考季获得了剑桥国际AS Level艺术与设计世界顶尖奖。

大家好,我是邹宜桐,来自北京市新英才学校剑桥国际中心。我非常荣幸能够在AS艺术与设计课程中获得全球最高分。今天,我将与大家分享我在这门课程中的一些心得和体会。
首先,想要取得高分不仅需要有经验丰富的老师的带领,还需要学生具备灵活和批判性的思维能力。这一考试并非仅依赖于熟练的绘画技巧,它更需要长时间的深度思考。在准备考试作品集时,我通常会先进行大量的视觉实验,然后深入思考每幅作品的逻辑。每张画面都要有清晰的创作目的,甚至画中每个元素的安排都应当赋予特定的意义。如果条件允许,我非常推荐学习美术相关课程的同学同时选修一些理科类课程。我个人学习了数学和化学,跨学科的学习能够极大地提高你的解决问题能力,帮助你在艺术创作中提出更多有趣且逻辑严谨的方案。
这门课程非常强调学生的自主性,要求学生对自己的项目有全面的把握。大部分工作都需要自我检查和评估。虽然官方给了足够长的时间来完成项目,但千万不要在早期松懈,认为可以等到后期再补上。
在整个课程的学习过程中,我最大的收获之一是对各种媒介的熟练运用。为了追求更好的视觉效果,学生必须不断更新和扩展自己的媒介范围,这也是考试评分的重要标准。不同媒介的组合运用可以显著增强作品的视觉冲击力。媒介的切换可能是受到其他艺术家的启发,也可能是通过个人反思,或是简单的尝试得来的。
此外,学习艺术家也是课程中不可或缺的一部分,是获取新灵感的重要途径。找到与自己主题相关的艺术家至关重要。当我们在创作项目时遇到瓶颈或方向不明确时,研究艺术家的作品常常能够为我们的项目提供新的推动力。这种推动力可能表现为新的元素、新的媒介、绘画技法或构图方式,帮助作品更加成熟和富有创新性。
总的来说,能取得这样的成绩我十分欣喜,我的老师在其中起到了不可或缺的作用,我再次向他们表达我最真诚的谢意。虽然艺术创作看似主观和抽象,但我们可以通过理性的方式来处理它。在每一幅名作的背后,往往都有画家经过的多次尝试与思考。这门课程让我更深入地理解了艺术作品是如何通过系统性的创作过程完成的。

Hello everyone, My name is Yitong Zou, and I am a student of Cambridge International Centre, Beijing New Talent Academy. I am honored to have achieved the highest global score in the Cambridge International AS Level Art & Design course, and today, I would like to share some insights and reflections on my experience with this program.
First and foremost, achieving a high score requires not only skilled instructors but also a flexible and critical mindset on the part of the student. This exam is not simply about technical proficiency in drawing or painting; it demands sustained and in-depth thinking. When developing my portfolio for the exam, I often began with extensive experimentation with visual elements, followed by careful consideration of the logic behind each composition. It’s crucial to have a clear purpose for every piece, and even the arrangement of each element within the artwork should carry meaning. If possible, I highly recommend students pursuing art courses to consider taking some science-related subjects as well. I personally studied mathematics and chemistry. Interdisciplinary learning can significantly enhance your problem-solving abilities and broaden your perspective, often leading to more creative and logical solutions in your artwork.
This course places a strong emphasis on student autonomy, requiring a comprehensive understanding of your own project. Much of the work involves self-monitoring and evaluation. Although the course provides ample time for project completion, it is essential not to procrastinate. Avoid the temptation to relax during the early stages, assuming that you can catch up later.
One of the most valuable take aways from this course for me was gaining proficiency in using various media. To achieve the best visual outcomes, students must continuously update and expand their range of mediums, which is also a key scoring criterion by the exam board. Combining different media can add significant visual impact to your work. Switching between mediums can be inspired by studying other artists, personal reflection, or simply through trial and error.
Additionally, studying artists is an integral part of the course and a vital source of inspiration. Finding artists relevant to your theme is crucial. Often, when facing creative blocks or a lack of direction, studying the works of other artists can propel your project forward. Their works can introduce new elements, mediums, techniques, or compositional strategies, helping to make your work more mature and innovative.
In conclusion, I feel incredibly honored to receive this award, and I owe a great deal of my success to my teachers, for whom I am deeply grateful. Although art can be seen as subjective and abstract, it is possible to approach it with rationality and structure. Behind every masterpiece lies a wealth of thought and experimentation. This course has given me a deeper understanding of how artwork is systematically created.
