担任本次升旗任务的是来自AP国际中心的仪仗队。他们精神抖擞，迈着整齐的步伐，昂首前进。美国作家西奥多·德莱塞说：“理想是人生的太阳。”而新英才学子正是怀揣着理想，在自己的学业及人生路上坚定前行。

在全体师生的合唱中，五星红旗和校旗依次被升到体育馆上空，神圣不可侵犯而又充满希望和力量。

 

国旗下演讲暨理想月启动

 

小草，因为有了理想才破土而出；溪流，因为有了理想才勇往直前。雄鹰，因为有了理想才划破长空。在新英才学校这片培养人才的沃土上，一批批怀揣理想的学子，努力拼搏，奔向世界各地。

AP国际中心9年级2班的陈嘉妮同学，便是这些正在努力拼搏的学子中的一位。她是学生会副主席，也是微电影社的一员。她编剧并拍摄的微电影《等爱》《那年17岁》，一举荣获加拿大维多利亚杯国际青少年微电影大赛最具潜质导演奖。在国旗下，她与在场的所有师生分享了自己对理想的见解。

尊敬的各位老师，亲爱的同学们，大家早上好！我是来自AP国际中心九年级二班的陈嘉妮。12月是理想月，今天十分荣幸站在这里作为AP国际中心学生代表与诸位分享我对理想的见解。

我08年来到新英才，从小学到中学，可以说是英才见证了我的成长。

记得在很小的时候，老师有一次让大家把自己长大后的理想写在一张小纸片上，每个同学写得答案五花八门，有科学家、飞行员、医生……大多数的同学们写的都是科学家，而我看着空白的小纸片，不知道写什么好，最后十分违心地写了句：长大了想当科学家。在那时我其实也不清楚自己的理想到底是什么。

上了初中后，我的心智慢慢成熟了些，也到了该为自己以后的选择做规划的年龄。但我依旧在思考，我的理想是什么呢？前一阵子，看了王潮歌导演的一次演讲，在演讲中她说过这么一段话：“过每个年龄应该有的美。在我17岁的时候，做我17岁的美。在我18岁的时候，过我18岁的美。在我28岁的时候，要有属于我28岁的美。”听到这，我突然觉得其实理想也是这样的，在不同的年龄里，去完成着自己的理想。理想，想一想很容易，但却不能一步实现。如果把自己的终极理想分成好几部分，在成长的过程中，不断地去完成每个小理想，直到到达自己的终极理想，这样就简单很多。

对于现在的我来说，我的小理想就是申请上一所自己满意的大学。在不到3年的时间里，为自己这个小理想的实现去努力。参与各种各样的活动，演讲比赛、作文比赛、篮球比赛、元旦晚会、做义工……参加学生会让自己得到充分的锻炼，加入篮球队让自己多一项运动技能。因为喜欢电影，我加入了微电影社，平常拍一些小作品，在今年毕业季我完成了自己首部微电影作品，暑假期间又前往加拿大和好莱坞导演学习电影的相关知识。现在做的所有积累不光是为了能在申请履历上多添几笔，更是为了运用在以后的生活中去实现更多的理想。同时在这里也特别感谢AP国际中心的老师们，一直以来给予我最大的支持与帮助。

最后希望每个人都可以拥有自己的小理想，就像打游戏通关一样一步步地战胜终极关卡。能够在这个过程中去做自己喜欢的事情，因为这种幸福感别人给不了。

理想是创造者前行的灯塔，照亮他们前行的路途。然而追寻理想的路途遥远而艰难，不积跬步无以至千里，我们唯有一步一步地达成自己的小目标，才能摘取理想的桂冠。

 

在新英才，每个学生都在为自己理想中的大学努力拼搏着。来自于世界顶级学府哈佛大学的博士，AP国际中心外教Ricardo老师与在场师生分享了关于责任、梦想和才能的话题。

Hello my name is Dr. Ricardo Rokkit and I am a teaching Grade 7 Science and SAT physics at BNTA. I am from the beautiful city of Vancouver , Canada. It is an honor to be asked to share a few words with you about Responsibility , Dreams and Talents. 

大家好，我叫里卡多；我在新英才AP中心教授七年级科学和SAT物理。我来自加拿大美丽的温哥华市；今天很荣幸跟大家分享关于责任、梦想和才能的话题。

From the time we are born ...we have responsibilities ...we are responsible to breathe ! This ensures that the Human race survives. As we go through life , we assume more and different responsibilities...learning to walk, eat and communicate again ensures success in our world. 

我们一出生就有责任，我们有责任去呼吸！这确保人类可以活下去。随着我们的成长，我们承担越来越多不同的责任——学习走路、吃饭和交流能够确保我们在这个世界上取得成功。

Today I would like to speak about the responsibilities we all have at Beijing New Talent Academy. The academics at BNTA are responsible for providing the students with a superb education. This is not a " job" but a commitment , a responsibility, to ensure the success of our students, who in turn ensure their personal success , the success of China and possibly the World. 

今天我想谈一下我们在新英才的责任。新英才的学术有责任为学生提供优质的教育；这不是一份工作而是承诺和责任，以确保我们的学生可以取得成功，他们才能确保自己的成功，中国的成功，甚至世界的成功。

Academics are responsible for your well being ....physical , cultural and mental well being... we promote Physical Activities , Chinese and International culture and many varied academic courses. We are tasked with the responsibility to assist you in your education. We strive to create new and interesting ways for you to learn and encourage you to build upon what you learn with your own ideas and talents. 

新英才的学者老师们有责任让你们健康——身体、文化、精神的健康；我们致力于体育活动、中国及国际文化以及很多多样化的学术课程。我们被赋予责任在教育上帮助你们。我们不遗余力的为你们创造全新的、有趣的方式学习，鼓励你们在你们所学到的基础上丰富你们自己的想法和才能。

Your responsibility as a student at BNTA is to be an endless sponge...to soak in all that we offer and to create your own education by applying yourself in study, learning from fellow students and using your talents to the best of your ability.

在新英才，你们作为学生的责任就是像海绵一样不断的吸收我们所教授的内容，通过努力学习、相互学习、最大程度的利用你们的才能来创造自己的教育。

So what about dreams ? how are they related to responsibility? When I was in Middle and High School I played many sports and was fortunate enough to travel to a few countries to represent Canada . I was fascinated by meeting other people and seeing new cultures .I made it my responsibility to make sure I travelled ! and now...I have travelled to over 36 countries ! That's very responsible !

那么梦想跟责任的关系是什么呢？读中学时，我擅长很多运动，很幸运能够代表加拿大去几个国家参赛；认识很多人，看到全新的文化令我着迷。我把旅行作为我的责任。目前为止，我已经到过36个国家，那是非常负责任的。

At BNTA ,we encourage our students to dream...in fact...we make it your responsibility to dream of becoming an athlete , dancer , musician , astronaut…whatever your dream. But you cannot get there without foundational knowledge , discipline and hard work , these are also your responsibilities. To be attentive in class , to ask questions, to challenge yourself to achieve these are your responsibilities from which you can launch many dreams. 

在新英才，我们鼓励学生追逐理想，实际上这正是你们的责任——梦想成为运动员、舞蹈家、音乐家、宇航员，无论你们的梦想是什么。但是没有基础知识、纪律和勤奋的努力，你们是无法实现理想的；这些恰恰是你们的责任。上课集中精力、问问题、挑战自己取得成功——这些都是你们的责任，从这些出发你们就可以实现梦想。

Think about these contributions to the world — the clock , the compass , paper , silk , acupuncture medicinal arts, gun powder... did someone " dream" them up ....these inventions needed a foundation of prior knowledge and then the talents of individuals and groups to create them... grade seven science ... which country was responsible for these inventions ? ( China ) .. yes that's right ... China !!! 

想一想这些对于世界的贡献——钟表、罗盘、纸、丝绸、针灸、火药；难道人们是梦想出来这些的吗？这些发明创造需要之前知识的基础以及每个人和团体的才能把它们创造出来；七年级的科学课：哪个国家发明了这些呢? 是的，中国！

And finally Talent... this is defined as a special ability. I believe we all have talents ...but some of us never realize them...which is sad. At BNTA we will give you every chance to discover , nurture and develop your talents....with our talented teachers...but there's a catch....

最后，关于才能，其定义是特别的能力。我认为我们都有才能，但我们中的一些人永远无法实现——令人痛心。在新英才，我们将给你们一切机会去发现，培养和发张你们的才能，和你们多才多艺的老师们一起。但这里有一个问题。

You are responsible for developing your talent....there is that word again... you just can't seem to get away from it... so instead of saying the test was too difficult ....study responsibly ...instead of saying you have too much homework...budget your free time responsibly .....instead of blaming others ....be responsible to yourself ... be responsible to dream and be responsible to develop your talents....and enjoy this responsibility....many children would wish to be at a great school with these " responsibilities" ....but you are here and they are not.... 

发展才能是你们的责任——还是那个词——你摆脱不了；所以，与其说考试太难，不如负责任的学习；与其说作业太多，负责任的规划自由时间；与其指责他人，不如自己负起责任。很多孩子想在一所拥有这些责任的学校学校，但你们已经在这里了，他们没有机会。

Lastly , I am solely  responsible for this speech. And as a responsible person... I would like to thank my interpreter , the students and fellow educators for allowing me to share some of my passion for teaching at BNTA ... thank you for listening...responsibly !

最后，我对我的讲话负全责。作为一个负责任的人，我想感谢我的翻译，以及那些同学和老师让我分享在新英才充满激情的传道授业的一些体验；感谢聆听，负责任的聆听！
